Jemilah will entrance you with honest lyricism that seeks to unravel the tough truths, deep doubts and soft soul within experiences. Knitted into a soft blanket of open chords, Jemilah’s songwriting is simple yet profound.
Also fronting indie-folk-rock band Marmalade who's debut single charted at #2 on the NZ singles charts in 2023, with Marmalade, Jemilah has supported the likes of Hot Potato Band (AUS), 10:32 (UK), Beach Bunny (US), French for Rabbits (NZ) and Ha The Unclear (NZ) and has graced the line up of festivals including Auckland Folk Festival and the Taranaki Festival of Lights.
Recently coming off the back of shows in AUS and Europe, Jemilah is now spinning off to endeavour solo into the world of indie-folk.
